Walking distance from Sligo Town

Main entrance is off Ash Lane, opposite Sligo University Hospital.

How do I get there by road?

Drive time from:

A shuttle bus service, BusAer is available between the airport and Charlestown, where further bus connections are available to Sligo.

Good bus connections exist between the airport and the city centre by Airlink. Busáras (central bus station in Dublin) is where all expressway services start to all destinations throughout the country.

Bus Éireann runs most of the public buses in the Republic of Ireland.

Trains

The train system is run by Iarnrod Eireann. Sligo is on a main train line to the Midlands and Dublin and regular services run from Dublin to Sligo. All information is under the Irish rail site or under the information for the Northern Irish railways on www.nirailways.co.uk.

Is there carparking at the venue?

Yes. There are 800 car park spaces outside main arena entrance.

Is the venue accessible?

Yes. Easy access and wheelchair friendly.

Can I get Internet access at the Arena?

Yes. Fast, reliable Wi-fi and ethernet internet access.

Is there accommodation nearby?

Yes.

The 163-bedroom 4*Clayton Hotel is situated adjacent to the IT Sligo campus – and other Sligo City Centre hotels are also within walking distance / a short drive away.

Is lunch provided at the event?

There will be a light lunch provided free of charge on Saturday 22nd  only.

There will be coffee/ tea available free of charge on Saturday morning.

IT Sligo’s 600-seater main restaurant on campus is also within walking distance of the arena.

Can I purchase tickets to see individual speakers?

No.

What if I just want to come on one of the days?

Your on-line ticket purchase covers entry to the entire event over the one and a half days. However, you can also buy single day tickets.

Can I purchase my ticket at the door?

Yes.

This is a not-for-profit event and no one who wants to attend will be refused entry.

Can I just come to the Book Launch?

Yes.

The Get Up and Go Heroes Book Launch is a free event. Friday 21st April 5pm

For those attending the Book Launch who then choose to attend on Saturday the ticket price for Saturday will be €55.

What is the cost of a one-day ticket?

You can buy single day tickets both online at at the door.

Can I arrive any time?

  • Friday Session starts at 2pm Friday
  • Book Launch 5pm
  • Saturday starts 9am
